NEW Sephora Cream Lip Stain

Hi Divas & Gents,
Now we all love Sephora, if you have not been to a Sephora store you are missing out. I love going to Sephora and in Los Angeles, CA there are 5 locations I will drive to because first great customer service, second well stocked third great location in the mall fourth Parking is great fifth product knowledge.

Now of course my girl Ckey Beauty told me about Sephora had there new Cream lip stains out in store and online. I love a matte lip, a matte face. So of course since I missed out on colors from last year, I immediately jumped on the website without hesitation and ordered 4 of colors.

Sephora Lip Stain $13 for 0.169 Fl Oz (5 ml)
Sephora Cream Lip Stains are said to be “lip stains that provide beautiful, long-lasting color. This high-coverage lip product features avocado oil for a texture that transforms as you wear it: when applied, the initial cream texture becomes a silky, lightweight stain. Lips achieve stunning color and feel soft and comfortable.”

Even though this product is thought of to be a stain, I would say that it is more of a liquid lipstick. It is applied with a doe-foot applicator which is much easier to use to make the edges of my lips look sharp. I love this product!  I have three of the matte shades and they all last for a ridiculous amount of time. Like all long-lasting products, these are somewhat drying like most matte lipsticks. However I always apply a lip balm over my lips before applying any lip stains because that affects the lasting power and keeps your lips moisturized with the matte lipsticks.
Here are the Pros & Cons to these lip stains:
It gives complete coverage and deep pigmentation in just one swipe.
An ideal choose of colors for all skin tones
The texture feels watery and creamy initially on the lips, but dries to a powdery lip stain within a few seconds.
Does not hydrate lips, also does not accentuate any issues unless lips are really chapped.
Matte stain, it's long lasting on the lips and I recommend using a lip balm before applying.
Super pigmented and gives complete coverage, ideal for pigmented lips.
Stays on for 10-12 hours with heavy meals and water sips.
Even when it fades away, leaves a stubborn stain on the lips which does not settle into the lip crevices hence it looks fine and can be removed with oil/remover.
The stain neither feathers nor settles into the fine lines unless we swipe it more than 3-4 times.
  • Travel Friendly to put in your purse or carry-on bag.
Now I know Sephora did discontinue some of the lip stains from last year and kept some.
The older shades that are left:
01 always red
03 Strawberry Kissed
05 Infinite Rose
They discontinued some other colors
02 Classic beige
04 Endless purple
07 Dark berry
Overall my thoughts on these lip stains are a must-haves 5 stars.
This product is for those who desire the long staying power of a lip stain with the opacity of traditional lipstick. Once the creamy-liquid texture sets, the stain looks and feels too dry and matte, so for comfortable wear, finish the look with a balm. That said, the color really lasts, even with gloss on top of it for a little shine.
The shade range is just great for all skin tones, but you can find option for work, school, and the night life with what's available.
Let me know what lip stains have you purchase so far in 2015 and what are some must-have colors for you.
Stay Beautiful!!
